What kind of games will we play? For walk-on play
Realms Of Ruin offers a variety of games on many different fields of play.
Games include:
Capture The Flag -
You must recover your opponents flag and return it to your flag station.
Center Flag - A flag is placed in the
center flag station. You must get the flag and return it to your
opponents flag station.
Elimination - You must eliminate all
players on the opposing team to win.
Attack & Defend - Teams take turns
defending a fort, tower or other structure while the other attempts to gain
control of the objective.
Private Groups have more freedom for game play - and
often the following games are included in the mix:
President - One player or staff
member is chosen as the "president" and is assigned designated security
guards. These guards are invincible, but the odds are stacked
against them as the opposing team acting as the "terrorists" get to hide and
ambush the security squad attempting to get the "president" to safety.
Regicide - One player on each team is
designated as the "king" or "queen" for their team. The object is
simple.......find the other teams royalty and eliminate them to win.
Fox & Hound - Great for bachelor /
bachelorette parties, this game sets one special player off to hide on
the field while the others get to track them down and eliminate them!
What time can we play until? The park generally
remains open 30 to 45 minutes prior to sunset. Players are welcome to
spend all day at the field. More specific information can be found
here.
What should we wear? The general rule of thumb is to dress
appropriately for the climate, however in warmer months we recommend
wearing at least a long sleeve shirt and pants of some type pants should be
loose fitting and comfortable, allowing you to move freely. We also
highly recommend wearing a hat, bandanna, skull-cap or other head gear in
order to help take the sting off of any shots to the head.
Realms of Ruin is also predominately wooded so shades of brown, black and
greens blend in nicely. Although paintballs do not stain, we recommend
wearing clothes that you do not mind getting dirty or even ruined as clothes
can get tears, grass or dirt stains. We recommend wearing gym shoes,
athletic spikes or light boots for playing paintballs, under no
circumstances should players be playing in bare feet, sandals or dress shoes
of any type. Most players also find that wearing gloves help to
prevent scratches from bushes, trees, or other plants.
How many games can we play? Players are permitted to play
as many games as our operating hours will permit. Our staff is highly
trained and operates as effectively as possible to ensure that players play
as many games as they wish. In summer or winter months however games
are generally less since we allow players to recoup from previous games
played. This allows players to eat, drink and even rest before the
next set of games proceed.
Private groups play at a rate and frequency that they desire and
coordinate with their personal judge.
Can we bring our own paint? Unfortunately Realms of Ruin is
a FIELD ONLY paintball park, which means that all paint being used in Walk
on or Private Group games MUST be purchased at the field. This is done
to ensure that paintballs which are non-staining and non-damaging to our
rental equipment is used.
Players are permitted to bring back any paint purchased at Realms of Ruin
but not used at a previous visit. Players are also permitted to bring
non-field paint to the park for use in our target range. However, if
any player is caught shooting non-field paint on a field of play in an Open,
Private, or Special Event game, that player will be forced to either dump
the paint out of the hopper and pods he/she is carrying, or will be asked to
leave the park premises.
What if someone in my group or myself have our own equipment?
We allow players to bring their own guns, tanks, goggles, and gear so
long as it meets ASTM safety standards as well as park safety standards.
Any gear that does not meet both of these requirements, will not be
permitted to be used in games at Realms Of Ruin. Any player using
his/her own equipment, is not required to pay the equipment rental fee for
walk on play.
What if it rains, is too cold or too hot outside? If you
have reserved a date with us for a private group and decide not to play at
the last minute due to weather, Realms of Ruin will change your reservation
date one time free of charge. Cancellations will be subject to a $10
per player non-refundable fee or more depending if limousine service was
scheduled and paid for.
Realms Of Ruin operates in cold, hot and wet conditions, however under
extreme circumstances we may close temporarily until the adverse weather
condition subsides. The park will generally not open if temperatures
are expected to be in excess of 100 degrees or below 20 degrees.
Severe thunderstorms, windstorms, accompanied by lightning will suspend play
until that condition passes. Fortunately, Realms has a mostly
sandy base which means.....NO MUD! Major downpours are easily
absorbed into this sandy base.
Can we bring our own food and drink? We welcome you to bring
your own food and non-alcoholic drinks to our park for your day of paintball
play! If for some reason you were not able to bring your own food or
drink, or forgot something, we have full concessions on site for your
convenience. We also offer complete lunch packages for walk-on and
private group players.
You may also bring a grill to cook out, however any hot grills must be
attended to at all times. Realms of Ruin will not cook your food for
you or monitor grills that are left unattended.
Can I drop off my children to play paintball for the day and pick them
up later? Any parents who wish to leave their children
to play paintball for the day may do so as long as they have submitted the
required completed waiver forms. You may leave your
children at the park until closing, however, Realms of Ruin cannot
be liable or responsible for watching children beyond park operating hours.
Is alcohol allowed at the park? Alcohol and illegal
drugs are strictly prohibited on park premises. Any player found to be in
possession of either will be ejected from the park.
